5,687 Posts. #12 · Sep 8, 2008. You can use a tubing cutter with emt and not leave that sharp edge (although I still use a hacksaw and will race any one with thier saw zaw and win) you just wack it with your lineman's after a few turns and it snaps right in half. It takes a little practice.

Aug 03, 2009 · I use the Milwaukee tubing cutter and the hackzall very often. When they work, they are great tools. The problem I have with them is if they get wet. I'm not talking about trying to cut pipes completely under water. I'm talking about like cutting a pipe in a crawlspace. No matter what you do, you will get a little bit of water on the tool.

I like mine a lot though and will stick with it. I have nearly all the 12V tools. The PVC shear, copper cutter and hackzall are all great for me. Save time and wear and tear on ME.
